This is scary to be posting my podcast here with you all. But in an effort to be brave and authentic, here it is. (it's hard to see in the picture but there is a little arrow to click to listen to it.).
Rice Freeman Zachery is the one behind making this happen. OH...and that's Sophie, our norwegian elkhound/chow mix in the back seat. Best dog EVER!
hohoho I though you were talking about the dog making you do the video. "the one behind"
ReplyDeleteThat was fantastic! What a great interview, everyone should listen to this. And amen to your goal for your next life!! I will join you!
ReplyDeleteFabulous interview!!! I have always felt that you are an amazing person, let alone an amazing artist. What you have given to the community that continues to thrive and grow through YOUR creativity and vision there are almost no words for. I feel like you have made your own place in history - the history of those who have been a part of ArtFest and mixed-media art in general. I hope to make it back to ArtFest again in the future.
ReplyDeleteSophie is a wonderful dog, this was a wonderful interview. Rice is so right when she says Teesha is the most creative person on the planet. We all owe so much to Teesha and Tracy.
ReplyDeleteI listened to the podcast last night and LOVED it! I "feel you" on so many levels. Thank you for agreeing to chat with Ricë for the podcast. Good luck with the 12th anniversary of artfest next week! I am an art retreat newbie but I am seriously considering journalfest this year :)
ReplyDeleteTeesha, you nailed it expressing your life's purpose. I totally agree that when you are on the right path and create that foreward momentum, the doors fly open. It's that thing about stepping out in faith that the universe will rise to meet you. Some people understand their intuitive voice and those are the people who are living their dreams.
ReplyDeleteI do think you've made an incredible contribution to the nurturing of other artists. I've seen so many people come to artfest timid about their abilities and leave with a whole new confidence in what they can do. It comes from having the opportunity to be immersed in a community and culture that fosters and supports the creative spirit.
You are changing the world, one life, one artist at a time. That's beautiful, important, honourable work and you do it with the greatest of humility. It's why so many people love, admire and respect you. xo
YES, YES, YES to what Lelainia posted--I couldn't have said it better! I'll just add that I'm also a first-born and a Capricorn, so we have that organizational/creative thing in common (although my right brain is nowhere near as developed as yours--lol!!) I know Artfest will be fantastic, yet again. Have a wonderful week and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Hugs to you and Tracy!
ReplyDeleteI loved the podcast and hearing Teesha's speak from her heart! I totally believe in the doors being thrown wide open when you have a creative intention. (read The Law of Attraction by Esther Hicks)
ReplyDeleteTeesha, your work has meant so much to me and I refer back to your methods and ways so many times when I am teaching students. You are truly an amazing person!!! I hope to come to Artfest someday and meet you!!!
Thank you so very much for doing this podcast. You are Rice are my two favourite most creative people. Everything you said makes perfect sense. I need to relax more with my journaling. I shall be putting a link on my blog to this podcast. Everyone should listen to it. My dream is to come to ArtFest one year. Many blessings to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teesha, an amazing podcast!
ReplyDeleteTeaching creativity in schools is certainly the best thing Ican think of :)
I am now relaxed, happy and off to do some journaling!!
I should mention that I have begun teaching journaling classes here in Australia. Aussies don't know too much about journaling and I have never had a class, just a lot of blogging!
ReplyDeleteBut I am doing it anyways, so wish me luck!!
...well...first I thought it was an April Fool's Joke...hehehe
ReplyDeleteI totally enjoyed it!!! Great way to get our ArtFest juices flowing. Thank you Rice and Teesha!
What an amazing podcast - I think it's the best Voodoo Lounge yet! Thank you so much for taking time to do this, I loved it so much I'm getting ready to listen again. So much wisdom - you are truly an angel guiding the mixed media community and an inspiration to us all. I'll be seeing you next week!! Blessings to you and Tracy for a fabulous event :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteGreat podcast. I will be going with the flow when I see you at JournalFest!! Not to mention Portugal!!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what you are nervous about, this is a terrific interview and one that I drew a lot from. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteAwesome interview. I soaked in every word. Beautiful! All of it!
ReplyDeleteI am so much looking forward to artfest next week. Only 3 more days!!!
Thanks you so much Teesha for sharing your wisdom and inspiration with us all.
Thank you so much Teesha for all your encouraging & inspiring words. I was moved. Thanks for continuing to do what you do - you ARE a blessing to so many.
ReplyDeleteTeesha,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to hear you speak about your inspiration and motivation. I am even more intrigued than I was before about you and your art. I have to come to artfest next year. Keep on with your bad self!
Teesha-
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you did this. It was great to hear your voice and your thoughts about creativity and art-making. I've learned so much from you over the years and appreciate hearing from you 'directly'.

Great podcast Teesha! I love your style and you are so encouraging to everyone! Wish I'd known you about 30 yrs. ago! But it's never too late, right? Would you consider doing a blog post explaining the brands of acrylic paints you like the most? I would love to achieve some of the vivid bright color you get, but don't want to buy a brand of paint that will then not allow me to write or draw over it. Budget limited, so would appreciate some guidance. Fluorescent paints?
ReplyDeletei LOVE this teesha!!! i'm SO ready for artfest now :)

Teesha--your blog would make a wicked awesome Blurb book ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Sophie, nice dog and blog to. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful podcast! Wish I could have come to ArtFest this year. I will never forget the wonderful times there. Thank you for fulfilling your calling. You have touched my life in a profound way. I linked to the podcast on my blog. I want everyone I know to hear it.
ReplyDeleteGreat podcast. thanks Teesh and Thanks Rice.
ReplyDeleteHey Teesha! I had the funniest experience.. I found myself drawn to your blog last week...and was delighted to find your podcast. I sat art journaling while hearing your delightful voice sharing your experiences. At one point I looked at the clock and it hit me that it was the first night of Artfest and that you were probably giving the Welcome speech at that very moment!! : ) Thanks for taking the time to share so much- SO inspiring. : )
ReplyDeleteI have heard this interview four times. Just love your personality and common sense.
ReplyDeleteI listened to this podcast on the way to my very first ArtFest, and it was great(both the podcast, and the entire ArtFest experience)!!
