When I looked out my kitchen window this morning, I was startled to see this face staring back at me. Usually it is all dark brown and it blends in with the woods so it isn't noticable, but with the fresh snowfall, it really made the features stand out.
That is eery. Almost like it was painted that way.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh. You have a visitor from the tree sprites...
ReplyDeleteThat's a natural stone? Spooky! And the shadows mother nature made with snow are way better than those I manage with paints ;)
ReplyDeleteWhew, that IS something....
ReplyDeleteno, no...it isn't a natural stone. It is a gift from a friend. and while it has a face carved into it, I normally don't see it because it's always so dark.
ReplyDeleteOMGish...if it WAS a natural stone, I think I would have fainted to see a face...I mean...I know the trees are alive and all...but...it reminds me of the first 6 issues of my art & play magazine where I made faces on the trees.
I love it! I bet some fairies are close by :)
ReplyDeleteAlmost relieving that it isn't, you're right :) The features seemed a bit sharp to be natural, but it would be kind of cool if it was :) This one in Slovenia is natural, can you see it? She's called the Ajdovska maiden: http://www.genspot.com/Handlers/Photos.ashx?size=L&photo_id=37971
