Recently, Nanci Drew, an art friend of mine sent me a flyer announcing that she was going into practice as a spiritual guidance counselor and intuitive healer. I have always loved Nanci's spirit, so I emailed her and set up an appt. I felt it was important to support her in this way. I saw her last friday and while she seems to be unorthodox in her methods (at least to me, as I haven't had much experience in seeing these types of healers), she was the real deal. I felt like a HUGE weight was lifted off my shoulders and learned some very interesting things about myself that will surely help me in the months to come. As I drove home, I literally was all tingly and had a renewed sense of deep happiness and hope and calm. I only hope more and more people feel inclined to come out into the public and share their gifts like this. I also hope more and more people take stuff like this seriously and make time to participate in these types of healing and empowerment sessions. Nanci works out of Everett, WA. but says that she has done many remote healing sessions as well. Her email is email@example.com and her new website is http://www.nancidrewintuitivehealer.com/ The above image is from her business card.

2 more weeks of my life. Someone asked how big these are and what I use. The size of each space is a little smaller than 2-1/4" x 4". My book is 8x8 square. I would have planned it better so a drawing didn't end up in the gutter but the book was made and then I decided I was going to use it for some drawings. oh well...next year I'll plan it better. The pen I use is a faber castell pitt pen in superfine. I like it because it dries super quick so if there is pencil underneath the pen, I can erase without smudging.

Recently found a box of old issues of The Studio and other publications when we were cleaning out one of our storage units. If you have been looking for certain issues, you might want to check here. To keep someone from buying them all and reselling them on ebay, I had to price them a little higher. I learned my lesson last time I did this. The Studio is a black and white magazine that was limited edition that I started about 10 years ago. Included are some old copies of the first few art & life's too.

I have a new attendee who signed up for my Artfest Retreat and she recently learned that she cannot make it. She wants to gift the registration to someone who can't afford to come and who is deserving. It is for "off campus" but I am going to include a shared dorm room for the recipient. You would be able to pick from any of the classes that are not full. If you have never been to Artfest because you couldn't afford it but always wished you could come, we want to hear from you in 100 words or less why it should go to you. Please include your full name and age. We will have a panel of people who decide who it goes to based on this short essay. The deadline is feb. 10th. We will notify the winner by valentines day. Please send your essay to firstname.lastname@example.org
