Those are cool! I have a cd with MRI images with three whole sets of varying slices of my brain and spinal cord. So far I've had to "shoot the tube" (as I refer to having an MRI) three times for 2 1/2 hours (YKIES!) at a time. I have this done yearly.
About 3 weeks ago, my doctor had me scheduled to get an MRI done on my breasts. The doctor does not believe I have cancer, but she wanted the MRI done to prove that I'm OK. But the insurance company refused to pay for it so there was no MRI. Now that I see Tracy's MRI results, I really wish that I had been able to get mine done. Not only would I have a clean bill of health, but I could also do some cool art stuff with the pics.
Teesha, I hope Tracy doesn't need a knee replacement but if he does please email me and I'll give you an idea of what to expect. I had it done over the summer.
When I was fingerprinted (!) at the police station in Santa Fe N.M. to get a job as a caregiver, I asked for copies and immediately incorporated them into my art journal.
cool idea to use the xrays! I also really love the new art/changeup to the look of your site. Very different style, I like how you are mixing in photos. thanks for the ongoing inspiration!
They are amazing aren't yhey? I have many of my spine, neck, hips and legs...not much to go now and l can have a full hoiusexx hope knee ois okxx lynda
I love X-Rays too..they are so abstract...but not so much the fact that my 12 year old daughter will need 8 of them taken next week of her feet, ankles, knees, and hips...yikes...even the thought of having these to use after doesn't make me feel good about it... XOXOrly
Week nine post hip surgery. Mine received an extra plate as is wire wrapped. Very edgy. And I walked with cane from week 1. No pain. these surgeries are routine. Also the pain killers AKA poppy juice ( on short term) produce colorful hallucinations,
Those are awesome! I had some MRI's done a few years ago and I can't figure out how to print them up. Any tips?

ReplyDeleteHope Tracy's knee is okay?
When I was in highschool I interned at a hospital cat scan room. I so wish I was able to keep some scans to make art on.
