Portland trip

really cool sewing space for anyone to come use their sewing machines on Alberta St. in Portland.

love this idea!

It's called Modern Domestic.

a portland dog.  one of many....

this was in a cute little shop on Alberta St. too.  unfortunately I can't remember the name of it but it is right next to the Tin Shed restaurant (which I wouldn't recommend despite the huge crowds around it).

more from that great store.

goofing around while waiting for our food.

the portland moon.

This was the reason we were in Portland.  Theo Ellsworth is one of our closest and dearest friends.  He's practically family.
Theo made the arch.

The detail was amazing.  what's new though....if Theo made it.

The happy couple watching a belly dancer (Heather teaches belly dancing and has performed many times).

Tracy and I designed a journal for them...a love journal.  It's made of leather and nickel silver.  we have one ourselves that we write things to each other in and draw pictures too, of course!  The idea was that Theo might want to add his own drawings to the cover...or leave it as is.  It is pretty small...about 4x5 or so.

  4. I love the Love Journal! My boyfriend and I have similar, but they are two books. One with his initial, which I draw/write in, and the other with my initial, which he works in. We surprise each other with notes & drawings... it's a fun way to communicate love!
