Went to the Bellevue Arts Fair last weekend and bought this necklace from
www.eyecandybychelsea.com . The image is actually a piece of tin from an old lunchbox. Was going to buy the Burt (burt and ernie) necklace and then she brought this one out and that was that. I'm still trying to decide if I want to remove the darker chain and replace it with sterling silver or leave as is. it's been bugging me.
maybe when the rest of the necklace darkens a bit with wear, the darker part you are speaking of will not be so focal.
ReplyDeletegreat necklace!!!!
COOKIE!! He's my fav-his woggly eyes always made me laugh and who doesn't love a big furry blue monster who loves cookies??! He's one of the best parts of my childhood. God bless Jim Henson wherever he is.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm with you-I would want to change out the dark part too.
What a fabulous find! I love cookie monster!
ReplyDeleteChange it, change it!! Why would you want to put a darker piece in like that??? It wouold bug me too! It doesn't "go" at all!! But love Cookie - that's a great use of a lunchbox!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cookie monster . . . if it was me I think I would want to change the darker piece out too.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I would add a couple darkened trinkets through the holes on the bottom to compliment the darker chain or replace it.
ReplyDeleteThat is soooo cute!!! I'm off to her website to check it out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCute! Cookie Monster is loads of fun, and so is your necklace.
ReplyDeletei'm with you, drop the darker chain...too bad you can't find a chocolate chip cookie charm to hang from the loops on the bottom....
ReplyDeleteI still react to cookie monster the same way I did when I was in preschool. SQUEELS of delight!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the darker chain, BUT if you don't want to change it, take a bit of 0000 steel wood to it... it'll knock it back a couple of shades. Then you can change it if you don't like it.
ReplyDeleteCool necklace, I would have gone for that one as well! You are right the darker piece of chain brings the picture out of balance, but on the other side it makes it more interesting...
ReplyDeleteSunny regards - Irma
Ah ha ha...too cute!
ReplyDeleteI like the dark chain. It's wonky.
ReplyDeleteAaaah... cookies! I love the darker part on the necklace by the way, I think it's just that little bit extra!
ReplyDeleteTeesha - I like the darker chain & think the bright chain will mellow with time...then it will all be chill...ummmm cookies.....
ReplyDeleteTeesha, I just have to say that I love your blog, your art, and your creative spirit! I would give anything to come to one of your classes and create with you! Unfortunately, you are just too far away right now! Thanks for sharing with all of us!
