running off to cleveland

As I run off to teach my last journaling class (I won't say ever, but....), I thought I'd throw up some more pages I've been doing lately.  These are all 8x10's (except the flaps).  But I recently made a new journal for this trip (since we journal a TON when we travel) that is 6x8 and so far I am totally LOVING the new size.  It is all loaded up with collage, so I have a bunch of pens I am taking with me.  should be fun!  OH...and ps.  I talk about pantone universe pens on one of my pages.  It says I like them but I don't.  As you can see they aren't very vivid.  Don't waste your money on them.  Copics are way better.

  1. It really is amazing how altering the size of our usual format changes the experience. I recently signed up to do 30 paintings that were only 4 x 4" and I was completely intimidated by it at first (I tend to gravitate toward larger sizes)...and then I learned to love the little canvases.

I tried to do art journaling, but I really didn't know what to say or how to lay it down to look cool...~

  3. sunny lee! I never know what to say or do either! that's half the reason I turn to quotes for writing something because I feel like I have nothing to say until I just start writing without knowing what will come out and then I am so surprised what appears on the page. and as for what to put on the page. my only thoughts are...I like borders...and I like something in the middle. and I just go from there. If I had time, I'd scan in my pages that are just collaged right now so you could see more of the process. Let's see...my flight leaves in an hour...I might see what I can scan in...

  20. Hi Teesha,
It's Sharon. Did you think you would actually have 48 hours before hearing from someone in the class? :)

Your class was amazing and really got my creative juices flowing again.

Peg and I were in both Borders and Barnes & Noble looking for the book/magazine you had with you with the word fruits in the title where you get your pictures.

Can you tell us where you get that zine? Thanks so much for all you gave us inn that workshop!
