journaling supplies - pens

copic markers (sketch).  I love them.  I know I said you can get them from our website but we haven't been able to get them up yet (I know...we're not good market-ers).  We sold them in sets at Journalfest.  We have one set of orange pink, yellow and red, one set of blues & greens, one set of all the jewel tones; deep red, deep blue, a dark olive and dark brown (good set to have) and the 4th set is all lighter but muted.  this set is really good for swirlies in the background.  Anyway...the sets are $24 each ...oh and we sell just black for $6.  should be up within a few days.

I love these pens but sharpie is discontinuing them.  I do think I have enough to last me well into old age however.  LOL.  I love all the colors and all the sizes.  Sharpie Poster Paint pens (get water based, not the oil based ones).

my first favorite white pen...uniball signo from japan.  I bought them at japanese stationary stores.  now I think you can do a search for them and find them.  They are still great and gives you a nice white line (although not quite as consistent as the sharpie poster paint fine line white...above).

other pens not shown would be moonlight gel pens, faber castell pitt superfine pens OR sharpie makes a superfine pen that's pretty decent.

    Hi Teesha,
I like the uniball pen but it dried up on the end and I can't seem to get it to flow again. Any thoughts?
My daughter..12..would love all those tapes. She and her friends have been using the colored duct tape to make all kinds of things.

  3. I wonder why my white sharpie paint pen comes out clear on regular paper. Haven't tried it over paint yet. When I shake it white pain comes out but when I try to draw with it, it's clear?

  4. Hey Teesha,

Sharpie HAS discontinued the waterbased poster paint pens. You can still buy them. I don't recommend stocking up on them though as the ink in the white pen tends to separate.
FYI though if you see the waterbased posca paint pens, it's the same ink as what is in the sharpie water based pens ;)

  6. kelly...thanks for that info. I am now thinking that many of my white pens are getting weird on me from that separation...I had no idea.

  7. I'd love to know where to buy the MT tape! I've been searching online and can't find it. Thanks for your awesome videos. I'd LOVE it if you'd come to Chicago to teach a workshop. What do you think????

  11. Teesha,
I have watched all your videos and I have been busy trying all your techniques. I was wondering however, if you seal your pages with anything once you are done?

  12. I found out the hard way to use the white Sharpie pens... bought a different brand Japanese white opaque paint pen which exploded while using the 1st time!

...bummer to hear that Sharpie is discontinuing them!

Thanks for showing the supplies. I went online and found a place that would ship to me overseas. I m alooking forward to trying the pastel pans and maybe bringing one to the local art store to see if he will get them in.

  16. Hi Teesha just a few questions on your pens:

Since the water-based Sharpie is discontinued, would the oil-based one do?

Would the Copic Ciao markers work as well as the sketch ones? What colours would you recommend to a novice of these pens to start off with?

PanPastels can be found in New Zealand if any of your fans from 'downunder' are interested. It's at the Takapuna art shop. yay for that couple that they are internationsl!!!

    Thanks!
