this morning I woke up at 6am and decided to go outside and journal on the patio. Everyone else slept (trista is living at home right now) in until 10, so I had 4 hours of uninterrupted bliss. I managed to finish off 5 journal pages. As Tracy and I are working in larger and larger journals, we have realized that they don't scan on a regular scanner. Buying a bigger one is $1000 on up. He got the brilliant idea to scan the pages in on our color copier (his business leases one). He was able to scan them and email them to himself. It worked! woohoo. what this means is that we can now offer some of them as prints...which I will work on getting up on my website soon.

Though I haven't the faintest idea how to journal and work in a very different style, I just have to tell you what a huge inspiration you are. You have been for a very long time and will remain THE goddess of contemporary collage art in my mind and I make a mess drooling all over my keyboard every time I visit.

Our styles are so different, but I'm so grateful for everything you and Tracy taught us at Play. I'm hooked and find myself carving time to continue working in the journal whenever I can--and I just bought a bunch of supplies from Dick Blick.
Also, your studio--and your home--are incredible to see. I would be more inspired in your space; I know I would.

I saw one of you art magazines on E-bay and went on a huge search for more of your stuff. Then I informed the seller she had your name misspelled-lol! Your art style is inspiring and AWESOME!

I was so sad when I recieved the gift card to finish out my subscription, as you had discontinued it. I was sad, but I don't know how you do what you do...I will NEVER forget your trip to Japan...you took me there girl. I also bought your 4 journal set, so as you can see, I am one of your BEST FANS. Throw in a couple of Art Fest's and does desire count for the journal classes???
Well, I thought I would use the GC at Carson a few wks ago. I didn't get there so it was back to email shopping--except I can't find the gc. I know it had $40 on it and I don't know if anyone can help me retrieve the amount on it so I can purchase something of your wonderful things. Perhaps you can direct me to sales????

Do you always use journals to "journal" in? I'm going on vacation and need to take as little as possible... wondering if some loose watercolor sheets would do the trick until I can get back home and tip the pages into a journal?
Any thoughts? Ideas? Plus, I know you've discussed this before, but would LOVE to know what your bare bones, minimal ideas are for supplies while traveling?
