Am feeling tired today and in a mood of not doing a whole lot. Guess I have to remind myself that it is OK to just be and not DO all the time. So I took some close-ups of stuff around my studio. I guess that is still DO-ing. Maybe I'll go in and read.
These colors and textures are really uplifting!
ReplyDeleteI love all the buttons! that art doll is very handsome :)
ReplyDeleteI just love the colour and texture and the rumply bumpy effect. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteWhen I need a studio break, I like to read a trashy magazine like People or Star with a nice cup of Bushman's Blend tea and a few no, a lot of Hershey's kisses. Then I can head back to the create part of my day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!Love the colours.
ReplyDeletegorgeous work..love those buttons and your colorful funky style
ReplyDeleteyou need to just take time to BE, teesha. you are always a busy girl! the texture pictures are awesome! your house and studio look like such a fun place to hang out at ;)
ReplyDeleteI hate not "doing", so whenever I get sick, (I've had the flu for the last 4 days)it really bothers me 'coz I can't "do". A good reminder, as you say, to just "be".
ReplyDeleteOh Yes! I am learning that lesson too! Down time-time out-refresh your brain and spirits time! I am anxious to get my studio finished but I hardly got anything done yesterday-and then I realized I had been working on it for a whole week and hadn't taken a "weekend". I'm heading to thrift and art stores to inspire me. Thanks for sharing Teesha! I am glad you are giving yourself a break! : ) And your journal covers are so yummy and inspiring for the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend an afternoon. It's wonderful that you can listen to what your mind and body need, to downshift for a day, if needed. Look at the beautiful results!
ReplyDeleteinspiring colors/textures, Teesha. and also - it is good for us constant doers to do nothing sometimes. Rest our hands and faces.
