Don't waste time

I won't say much here because I said it all on my journal pages. Something that I can't stop thinking about.

  2. Judging by what you've written on your "waste" and "not waste" lists...I'd have to say that I'd agree with most of that myself.
It's always good to have these conversations with yourself.
And the fall under the "not wasted" catagory!

  6. So nice. I like looking at these close up to see how you've done them.

Whenever I see your pages, I always want to do some the same way. But I've taken a different tack, and am going to trust the direction I am going. Maybe I can incorporate some of these journal pages sometimes.

And I've been trying to use every last bit of time I have. I've also discovered that I need to consciously put in some of those time wasters in my schedule, or I burn out. Isn't that crazy? We don't want to waste time, but we need to decompress and relax and rejuvenate. So sometimes time wasters are actually productive.

  7. Thanks, Teesha, for listing the time wasters and the non-time wasters. If i were to do that, I think most of my lists would be very similar to yours. I just may do that in my journal too.
    Merry Christmas!

No Time is Wasted if you enjoy what you are doing. If we can be truly aware and PRESENT in the moment of our doing, then I think we can not feel like time is being wasted. I don't want to get into the positive/negative thing about TIME the way that our society is about FOOD. Good/Bad, all that jazz.

We make art. We live art. Stuff gets messy. Life splashes around alot. Oh well. We are lucky to be so aware of the art lives we are making.

That said, the most creative things I've done for several days have been wrap presents and bake cookies! But I am off to the art museum tomorrow, for a little R&R I hope, if I can avoid the snow drifts.

Merry Christmas Teesha! And to your whole menagerie of a family. Stay safe this crazy season.

  9. Ah, really fab. I love your journal pages, so inspirational. I so agree with what you say about time. We are all busy but sometimes we are busy doing nothing. It's amazing how we can make time to do the things we WANT to do :-) Kate

  12. thanks for all your comments...as always I don't write things for others to hear...It is all stuff I am working out for myself. But feel good when it gets others to think about their own opinions about certain subjects. Always good to get back in touch...get deep...get real. otherwise I can sometimes feel like a hamster on a wheel.

Whenever I get a comment on my blog, I am positively gleeful, so I can relate. Your blog is as delightful as your znes. I hope you all have lovely holidays.

  14. The journal is the best place to work things out, and make decisions. I don't know what I'd do without it.
As usual your pages are thought provoking and gorgeous!

This might be stating the obvious, but perhaps you're spending too much time watching talk shows? Celebrities may not be the best spiritual advisors...

  18. I love your journal pages...so creative and inspiring!!! Makes me want to try it, but I'm not so great at handwriting. Yours is so perfect! I used to teach it to First Graders, so you'd think I could do it. LOL
    Happy New Year!
