Anyhoo...we just got done with a 12 person metal journal making workshop in our studio and the group was fantastic. It was really fun. Tracy did all the teaching...I was simply his lovely assistant (who didn't do a very good job of assisting since I don't make metal journals). Anyhoo...everyone made the coolest journals...not one ugly duckling in the batch.
Am still searching high and low for my camera to take some photos for my blog...it's hiding from me. aaargh. this photo above is the cover of a recent journal (not my favorite cover...but oh well).
Find that camera! I've never seen a metal journal, and am dying to. You've got me very curious. Have you checked on top of the fridge? My husband puts everything there...~PJ
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think my muse takes a long holiday. Great cover, love the dress.
ReplyDeleteI bet that Tracy would not want any other "lovely" assistant:) Great page and yes find your camera so we can see. And I can't wait to get my hands on those Sharpies I bought from you this weekend. Sharon
ReplyDeleteYeah I am with the first lady, "picture" please!!!!! I wish I could take the class, hey maybe you need an assistant for the assistant, or photographer who takes bad pictures, hmmm, maybe not.w
ReplyDeleteI love how vivid your pages are. Whenever I'm tired or just want to snuggle on the couch, I grab my markers (many bought after your recommendations!) and doodle much like you do. Your pages are there for me when I'm under the weather (which, considering I have several medical issues, including FMS, is often), showing that you don't need fancy techniques or a full studio to create vivid and meaningful journal pages.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm thrilled to be finding new journal pages and funny tidbits from you whenever I surf in!!

ReplyDeleteOoohhh, another great visual treat!
ReplyDeleteThe opportunity to take classes from you or Tracey is almost enough to make me move back to Seattle :)
i love it!!! i need to make a cover...everyone journals are so beautiful...i never can quite get it
ReplyDeleteThanks for the motto! It was exactly what I needed today and the precise answer to my question.
ReplyDeleteLet me throw in another vote for finding the camera so we can see the metal journals! LOL I would love to see one since I can't seem to conjure one in my imagination.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, we read your blog...we love you and your wonderful art, Teesha!
Peace & Love,
~Barb~
Your journal cover is beautiful - I love the quote and the girl's outfit. As always, the colors are stunning. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pics of these metal journals!
Oh yeah, find your camera....besides looking on top of the fridge,,,,, did you look IN the fridge. Tee hee, I have found things there before that didn't belong!

It is strange how our least favorite colours find their way into art and art journals...But I do so love your journal cover!!
