no power

if anyone is trying to get ahold of me, we have had no power for 3 days and they are saying it will be 4-5 more!! eeeeyikes! Last night the temp. dropped below freezing so we slept under 7 blankets to keep warm. I am learning that I am NOT a pioneer woman at heart. we finally ran into my daughters' seattle apartment to take a shower and let folks know I am not able to reply to emails. will post here the minute we have power again.

  3. Oh My goodness. I figured the news was sensationalizing it. Well if that isn't insentive to get a Seattle studio space I don't know what is. But really, I'm sure you would prefer to be gearing up for the Holidays rather than freezing your patoots off.
Once in The Belizean Jungle there where enormous spiders, scorpions, frogs and something we could only call helicopter bugs where all in our bungalow!
I stared at a pitcure of the mayan goddess Ixchel while I lay awake all night and thought. "Seriously, I am not cut out for the natural world. I am a totally different humanoid than the ones who roamed the jungles with ease." Yeah. I love my gas heat and my screened windows. Hope you get warmer here soon.
    Sending you warm wishes.

  4. Not a lot of fun, I'm sure. I live in Vancouver, WA. and it's almost as bad here. But at least we have power now. Hope these aggrivating conditions improve soon. I did comment on the delightful little dolls you made for your husband a few days ago.

  8. Hi,
I came upon your blog through the Reign of Ellen's blog. I am so impressed by your work that I just keep reading and reading and wanting to learn more on how you do what you do. My daughter loves the collage things that you have and your work also appeals to her big time. I am sad, however, for your recent situation and hope that it all gets better for you soon. Perhaps by now, since we are already into January, you already have returned to "normal". I appreciate the time you dedicate to your site and blog. Take care and I look forward to reading more and learning more. :o)

    Warm Regards,

    Aaliyah

  9. Don't miss those scary West Coast winter storms. Not crazy over the scary summer storms either, since moving 500 miles north! Horrible lightening and hail on this 'summer' day.
