gone for a week

I took this photo in our back yard as the sun was filtering through the trees. It was like this for maybe a minute or two and then gone. Anyway...I felt the need to let everyone know that we will be gone for a week from 8/7 to 8/14. we have rented a beach cabin in sequim where, when the tide comes in, it comes right up under the cabin...talk about right ON the beach. We'll be hiking around hurricane ridge, heading out to one of the most beautiful spots on the planet, Neah Bay (farthest northwestern tip of the united states) and soaking in the Sol Duc Hot Springs. The rest of the time we'll be building forts out on the Dungenous Spit out of driftwood and hunting for cool finds along the beach. Will take some pics and post them when we return.

  2. Oh Teesha,
This is one of my favorite spots in the world. So Beautiful! I could spend a week at Neah Bay. The cedar planked walk to over view of Tatoosh Island is so beautiful. I wish I would have read your message earlier. I have a very special beach place that has the best rocks ever!

just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your work and your website.
I learned about you through Pam Garrison's blog, and used a simplified version of your journaling method to create my home page. then I explained it on my last blog entry.

  17. It is always a happy moment when you can capture the passing of time in a photo even though you know the reality of that moment was far more beautiful.
